If I have misplaced my certificate what can I do?
If you have misplaced your Alcohol Server Training certificate and you have taken the class with Safe Servers of Indiana we can mail you a duplicate certificate. In order to do so we need to have a check or money order payable to:  Safe Servers of Indiana in the amount of $20.00 and you will need to know the date and location you took the class.

Who needs to take this course?
Anyone who holds an alcohol permit is required to take the ATC certified alcohol server training course.

Examples:
-Bartenders
-Bar backs
-Alcohol servers
-Managers
-Liquor retail employees

Restricted employee permits (19 or 20 year olds) may not be obtained until the ATC certified training is completed.

The deadline to complete alcohol server training is April 30, 2011.

Why should I take this course?
The course is required by law in the state of Indiana. Per the ATC, ALL current employee permit holders in the state of Indiana will have to attend an approved ATC certified server training course within 120 days of initial employment per IC 7.1-3-1.5-13. This means that all current employee permit holders working for a dealer or retailer establishment as defined in IC 7.1-3-1.5-2 (package liquor store) and IC 7.1-3-1.5-4 (beer retailer, wine retailer, liquor retailer) must attend an ATC approved server training course to come into compliance with the statute.

If I own an alcoholic beverage establishment, do I have to attend the training?
7.1-3-1.5-13 states that a retailer or dealer permittee or a management representative must attend the training within 120 days of renewing the permit.

What if I own more than one alcoholic beverage establishment?
You may complete an owner/manager attendance form through the ATC and the Safe Servers alcohol server program and list all permit numbers that you represent on that form to document that you have fulfilled the requirement.

Which retailer and dealer permits does the training mandate affect?
It affects all beer, wine and liquor retailer permits and all package store permits. Grocery store and drug store employees are exempt from attending this class.

Is this course certified?
Yes, Safe Servers of Indiana is certified by the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC) to provide this training. You will receive your certificate of attendance upon completion.

How much does the alcohol server course cost?
The standard fee is $25.00 per student. Payment is due on the day of class.

You may register on this website. Registration is not required but preferred. Walk-ins are welcome.

Where are classes held?
ATC certified alcohol server training will be held statewide in Indiana. Click on the Classes link in the navigation of this website to find a class near you. Onsite classes are available per request at no additional charge. Minimum 12 students.

What if I pre-paid, and I am unable to attend?
